This policy explains how Oudora collects and uses your personal data when you visit oudora.it, create an account or buy from us, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation 2016/679) and the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003).
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Oudora SRL, Via Milazzo. You can reach us about anything privacy related at info@oudora.it.
What we collect
- Order and account data: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, order history and, if you create an account, your login details.
- Payment data: card and wallet payments are handled directly by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
- Newsletter and offers: if you sign up for our newsletter or discount offer, your email address and, if you enter them, your name and phone number.
- Messages: anything you send us by email.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, recorded in server logs for security.
- Usage and order-source data: only if you accept cookies, how you use the site (such as pages viewed, device type and approximate location) through Google Analytics, and where your visit came from, such as a search or campaign link, which is saved with your order.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To process and deliver your order, handle returns and provide customer support: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To keep accounting and tax records: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To send you offers and news you have signed up for: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by writing to us.
- To understand how the shop is used and where orders come from: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Who we share it with
We share only what each service needs to do its job:
- Payment providers: Stripe / WooPayments, Klarna and PayPal, to process payments and check them for fraud.
- Couriers, to deliver your parcel.
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website, its database and our mailbox.
- Google (Google Analytics), only if you accept cookies, to measure how the shop is used.
- Accountants and public authorities, where the law requires it.
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Order and invoice data: 10 years, as required by Italian accounting law (Art. 2220 of the Civil Code).
- Account data: until you delete your account.
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: up to 12 months.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months. Analytics cookies last up to 2 years unless you withdraw consent or clear them sooner.
- Order-source details: kept with the order record.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@oudora.it.
If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
Cookies
We use technical cookies and similar browser storage that the shop needs to work. They do not track you across other websites and do not require consent:
- Cart and session (woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*): remember what is in your cart.
- Sign-in (wordpress_logged_in_*, wordpress_sec_*): keep you signed in to your account.
- Payment security (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid and similar cookies from Klarna and PayPal): set during checkout to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Preferences (local storage): remember your cookie choice and that you closed the offer popup.
With your consent, we also use these cookies to see how the shop is used:
- Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): set by Google to measure visits and how pages are used.
- Order source (sbjs_*): remember where your visit came from, so that it can be saved with your order.
These stay off until you choose Accept on the cookie notice. If you choose Essential only, they are not used. You can change your choice at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Without your consent, Google Analytics does not set cookies, but Google may still receive basic, cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed.
We do not use profiling or advertising cookies.
