One of the first questions newcomers to Arabian perfumery ask is whether to choose a traditional attar or a modern eau de parfum. Both are wonderful — they simply behave differently.
Attars (perfume oils)
Attars are concentrated, alcohol-free oils. They sit close to the skin, develop slowly, and are extremely long-lasting. Because they contain no alcohol, they are gentle on sensitive skin and ideal for layering.
Eau de parfum
Alcohol-based sprays project more in the first hours and are effortless to apply over larger areas. If you want a fragrance that fills a room on arrival, a spray is the way to go.
Our advice? Keep both: a spray for daytime presence and an attar for an intimate, all-day trail.
