Opulent Oud Gift Set: Three Pieces, One Scent

Lattafa packs its Opulent Oud into a box of three: a 100ml eau de parfum, a 200ml deodorant and a 300ml room spray. Every piece carries the same warm, spiced oud, so the decision is less about variety and more about how you plan to use the scent.

Opulent Oud Fragrance Notes

  • Top Notes: Saffron, Cinnamon.
  • Middle Notes: Agarwood (Oud), Rose.
  • Base Notes: Agarwood (Oud), Amber, Cedarwood.

The list is short, with six notes, and that points to a tightly edited blend rather than a crowded one.

The scent from top to bottom

Saffron starts things off with a leathery, dry tone, and cinnamon sits beside it with a warm spice that is more baking than savoury. Together they set a serious tone from the first spray.

The heart pairs oud with rose. Rose brings brightness and sweetness, oud brings darkness and wood, and each keeps the other from running away. That balance sits at the core of classic Arabian perfumery.

The oud is smooth and never sharp, which makes it an easy entry point into the style.

Amber and cedarwood close it. Amber adds a resinous warmth, cedar brings dryness and wood, and the drydown stays cosy and enclosed. It suits evenings and cold months from start to finish.

Reading the three pieces

The 100ml eau de parfum is the main event. Everything else in the box is there to carry the scent into daily life, not to stand in for it.

The room spray is the surprise. A home filled with oud is an old tradition across the Gulf, and bakhoor has long done that job. A 300ml spray brings the same scent into a room, so the item earns its place rather than filling space.

The deodorant is the lightest of the three. At 200ml it works as a body spray with shorter staying power than the eau de parfum, which suits its job. Use it after a shower, on clothing, or as a top-up through the day.

Count it up and the box carries 600ml in total, with just 100ml of actual fragrance. Compare on that basis, not on how many items are inside.

Lattafa launched this scent in 2018, so it is an established fragrance rather than a fresh one. The boxed layout also turns up for other scents from the brand, so someone who has liked one of its sets will recognise the format.

Is the box worth it?

It depends on whether you want to scent a room. If so, the set makes sense, and the 300ml spray is a useful size rather than filler.

If you only want the scent on your skin, the 100ml bottle does that job alone without the extra items.

As a present the box has more to it. It looks more generous than a single bottle and gives the recipient more than one way to use the scent.

Who it is for

The box suits anyone who loves classic Arabian oud and wants it in the home too. Saffron, rose and oud make up a traditional core, and the matching room spray is a handy extra.

A boxed set is an easy present. Oud comes across as generous, and the box takes the guesswork out of picking for someone else.

If you only wear fragrance now and then, skip the box. Most of its contents would sit unused, and the bottle alone is the more sensible buy.

Pass on it if oud or saffron does not agree with you. Both sit at the front of the blend, with little room for them to recede.
